Sustainable Christmas: Wreath Making Workshop

Make a beautiful, sustainable Christmas wreath in this fun workshop hosted at St Michael’s Hospice Whitestone.

Join us for our Sustainable Wreath Making Workshop!

Run by local sustainable florist, Food Friends Flowers, this three hour workshop will guide you through making your own sustainably-sourced festive wreath.

Join us to learn learn about sustainable wreath making and be guided through building your own creation to take home with you. There are two dates to choose from for the course, Friday 28th November or Saturday 29th November, with six spaces available to book for each day.

Come by yourself or book tickets for you and a friend! It’s the perfect activity to get into the Christmas spirit and try something new!

For the ticket price of £35.00, all materials will be provided, including pre-loved ribbons and accessories from the Whitestone shop. Light refreshments will also be provided throughout the course and participants will be able to purchase additional items at a discounted rate from the Whitestone Cafe.

Schedule:

9:30 – 9:45 – arrive at Whitestone
Please enter through main shop and head to the rear doors near the cafe. Staff will direct you to the workshop room.

10:00 – Workshop begins

11:30 – Refreshment break
The workshop will pause for a short break to enjoy some delicious homemade mince pies from our cafe.

13:00 – Workshop ends

About Food Friend Flowers

Located in the countryside on the Herefordshire/Shropshire border, Food Friends Flowers run creative floral design workshops that celebrate food, friendship and the love of sustainably-sourced flowers. Sustainability and providing a mindful experience is at the heart of what they do.

Food Friends Flowers is founded and run by Avril from a converted outbuilding on her smallholding, just outside Ludlow, where she lives with her husband Ian.Growing up as a farmer’s daughter in mid-Wales has provided Avril with a lifelong knowledge of the countryside and love of plants.

The dried material used in her creations comes from her own garden and that of friends and neighbours.
