Celebrate the life of your loved one by helping other families receive our care when they need it most.
Why people remember with us
We know that for many people being able to donate to St Michael’s following the death of a loved one is an important part of the grieving and healing process. We hear many times from families that supporting the Hospice is a way of thanking us for the care that we gave to their loved one, and a desire to know that other families can benefit in the ways that they have.Â
There are different ways you, your family and friends can remember someone special with a gift to St Michael’s and in turn, make a real difference to others living with a life-limiting illness. You can become a regular giver, organise a funeral collection, dedicate a leaf on our celebration tree, or take part in an event or fundraise in their memory. Â
Whatever you need, please get in touch, we are here to help.Â

Other ways to donate in memory
Many people choose to ask for donations at the funeral of a loved one, often in lieu of floral tributes. At St Michael’s, we are always grateful when people choose to give to us in this way. Â
We know that planning a funeral can be very hard and we will do what we can to help with the collecting of donations, having it run smoothly on the day. Â
We can work directly with you, or through your chosen funeral organiser, by providing donation envelopes which can be collected by the Funeral Director who will then send the donations on to us, or you can collect the donations yourself and then bring them directly to the Hospice. Â
Alternatively, you might like to set up a Much Loved online tribute page for people to leave messages and donate in memory of a loved one or friend.
Whether you want to mark a special birthday, take part in one of our popular hospice events, or take on your own challenge, we’re on hand to help you make it happen.

We know it can be really difficult to know what to do with a loved one’s belongings after they have died.
Did you know that you can make a real impact by donating those quality belongings to our charity shops? It’s not just about finding new homes for their cherished possessions; it’s also a fantastic way to support our crucial fundraising efforts. Your act of kindness creates a lasting tribute in memory of your loved ones and helps us keep providing essential care and support.
If you also have quality furniture, our friendly two-person team could come and collect them for you.
