St Michael’s Friends is a community for regular supporters of the Hospice.
By joining St Michael’s Friends, you’ll be helping to ensure that our vital support is available to those who need it the most within Herefordshire and beyond.
Regular donations, whether they are made monthly or quarterly, really help us to be able to manage our finances across all our services and that means we can be efficient and economically sound in the way that we spend our money.
You can become a Friend from £5 or more per month. Once you sign up, you’ll have access to special offers, meet ups and news exclusive to you.
All you need to do is pledge a monthly gift through Direct Debit, and, if you’re eligible, you can Gift Aid that donation too, meaning that your regular gift is worth even more to the Hospice at no extra cost to you.

Your monthly donation makes a big difference
Giving monthly is a wonderful way to make sure that our essential care is here for anyone who might need it for years to come. You’ll also be a part of a group of ‘Friends’ who come together to support us.

Per month is £120 a year, which could pay for a course of counselling for someone adjusting to living with a terminal illness

Per month is £300 a year, which could pay for pain medication and oxygen for a pay for all of our patients at the hospice.

Per month is £600 a year, which could pay to keep one of our Hospice at Home vehicles on the road for a month, making sure our nurses can get to those most in need.
St Michael’s Hospice organises a number of fundraising events every year.
As a Friend, you’ll be able to show your Friends card and enjoy the following thank yous from us:
- Hot Chocolate for up to 4 people when you book to attend our Christmas Grotto in December
- A free hot drink for you and a guest when you attend our free annual Plant Fair in May
- A free hot drink for you and a guest when you book to attend our annual Open Garden events from June – September (Excludes Brinsop Court and Kentchurch Court Gardens)
- A Special ‘Glow Pack’ if you enter the Venus Midnight Walk in August
It’s just a nice thing to do, to be able to give back something. I really enjoyed meeting the other ‘Friends’ too at the events where I wore my pin badge with pride.
