Christmas Tree Collections
Christmas Tree Collections
St Michaelโs Hospice is coming to the end of its largest-ever Christmas Tree collection programme.
The Bartestree-based Hospice is picking up around 1,000 real trees from across Herefordshire having expanded its collection area to large parts of the county.
Each supporter who has used the service has helped ensure St Michaelโs is starting 2021 more than ยฃ10,500 better off.
โWhat a start to the new year,โ said Hospiceโs Events and Community Fundraising Manager, Matt Ashcroft.
โThank you to everyone who has booked a Christmas Tree collection with us. People have been very generous with many adding donations on top of the ยฃ10 we were charging for the tree pick-ups.
โAll the money we collect from this service will help go towards the care St Michaelโs is providing to those in our community at a time when they need it most.โ
The Hospice has been able to dispose of the trees thanks to the help of Quickskip Recycling in Rotherwas, and reach more people than ever thanks to the support of the Herefordshire 4X4 Response team and Stuart and Bob Eden in collecting them.
