Terms and conditions

    • £5 entry fee per cyclist.
    • All participants must log their rides on Strava and join the Tour de Hereford Strava club, in order to qualify for category prizes. 
    • Each week (Monday to Sunday), rides completed during the previous seven-day period must be uploaded by midnight on Sunday to count towards the participant’s total (both distance and elevation gain) and to be eligible in the age-group competitions. Ride statistics will not be added retrospectively to a participant’s total, if uploaded beyond this deadline.
    • In order to qualify for prizes, a rider must cycle within the county of Herefordshire, at least once during the 23 days.
    • The maximum number of prizes which can be won by an individual is two, one for a sponsorship category and one for a cycling category.
    • For the benefit of understanding how prizes will be awarded, categories will be ranked in order of importance as follows: 1. Most ‘Sponsorship Raised’ overall, 2. Most ‘Sponsorship Raised’ in age-group category, 3. ‘Total Distance’ in age-group category, 4. ‘King of the Mountains’/’Queen of the Mountains’ in age-group category.
    • Medals will be awarded to all entrants who take part.
    • All rides must be outdoors in order to qualify for category prizes. Entrants can log rides on turbo trainers/stationary bikes for the purposes of completing this challenge, but these will not be added to the rider’s leaderboard total and will not count towards category prizes.
    • Rides on Electric bikes (E bikes) must be clearly labelled as such and will not be eligible towards category prizes.
    • St Michael’s Hospice Income Generation staff members will not be eligible to win prizes.
    • All entrants must adhere to the Highway Code, at all times, while taking part in this event.
    • All entrants must adhere to current Covid-19 restrictions.
    • All entrants should wear a cycling helmet, take appropriate safety precautions (suitable clothing, lights etc.) & ensure that their bike is roadworthy before taking part in this event.
    • Rides must take place between 12.00am on Saturday 26th June & 11.59pm on Sunday 18th July 2021 to qualify for the challenge.
    • Entries will close at 12 noon on Thursday 24th June.
