Events and Community Fundraising Manager

About The Role

Help the St Michael’s Hospice events and community campaign portfolio reach its full potential.

This is an exciting time to join St Michael’s Hospice as we expand our reach and deepen our impact across Herefordshire and beyond. With demand for hospice care growing, our fundraising efforts are more vital than ever—and we’re looking for a passionate, driven individual to lead the way.

As Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, inspiring local communities to support the hospice through unforgettable events and meaningful partnerships. You’ll bring energy and creativity to develop and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities—from large-scale public events to grassroots initiatives and supporter-led campaigns.

We’re seeking someone with a proven track record in event planning and community engagement. You’ll be a natural relationship-builder, confident in forging connections with individuals and groups to grow our supporter base and maximise income. You’ll also be proactive in identifying new opportunities, ensuring every event delivers exceptional experiences while remaining cost-effective and compliant.

You’ll be supported by the Head of Community Fundraising, and work collaboratively across departments to bring plans to life. As a skilled manager, you’ll guide and motivate a dedicated team of fundraisers and volunteers, championing wellbeing and performance.

A solid understanding of fundraising regulations, health and safety, and event management best practices is essential. If you’re ready to make a lasting difference in your community and thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re committed to joining St Michael’s Hospice as we embark upon this continued growth phase, which will have a lasting impact across Herefordshire, we’d love to hear from you. In return for your commitment, we’ll provide a competitive salary and benefits package including 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, within a highly reputable charity celebrating over 40 years of care across Herefordshire.

37.5 hours- evening or weekend work will be required with time off in lieu given.

Interviews for successful candidates will be held in person on Friday the 7th of November.
