“You don’t play to win the Hospice Lottery, but it was a lovely surprise to receive that call.”
Recent winner David Sockett said he joined the St Michael’s Hospice Lottery because he wanted to support a local charity.
“We used to play a national Christmas raffle each year but we wanted to help a cause closer to home, so that’s why we joined the St Michael’s Hospice Lottery,” he said.

David has already treated his family to a celebratory meal, and returned some of his winnings to St Michael’s as a gesture of goodwill.
