Where is St Michael’s Hospice Whitestone shop located?
You can find us at Whitestone Business Park just outside of Hereford.
Visiting by car:
From the A4103 (Hereford – Worcester Road), turn into the road signed to Whitestone Business Park. Take the first left into the business park; our entrance is the first on the right-hand side.
From the A438 (via Bartestree or Lugwardine) turn into the road signed for Whitestone Business Park and Whitestone. Follow this road for around a mile, going over a small railway bridge and past the first entrance to the Whitestone Business Park. Our entrance is on the right-hand side after the corner.
What items are for sale at Whitestone?
- Fashion, including womenswear, menswear, new and pre-loved accessories, and vintage.
- Home & Furniture, including large furniture, white goods, electricals, and homeware.
- Bridal & Occasionwear, including wedding dresses, suits, bridal accessories, and prom dresses.
- Books & Media, including fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl and sheet music.
- Children’s, including clothing, footwear, toys, and games.
- Upcycled furniture and ReColour chalk paint.
Are there changing rooms available?
Yes, changing rooms are located to the right of the till area. There is also a separate Dressing Room for the Bridal Area.
Are there trolleys available?
We have both baskets and trolleys available for you to use.
If I purchase a large item, can someone help me to take it to my vehicle?
For very large items (mainly furniture) Monday – Saturday we can move the item downstairs for you using our goods lift for you to collect from the Donation Centre entrance, at the back of the building.
Please note that we unfortunately cannot offer this service on a Sunday due to a reduced team, however, you are still welcome to take away the item yourself if you are able to manage this safely.
Can I reserve an item to collect at the later time?
Items can be paid for and collected within a week, but we are unable to reserve items without payment.
Do you offer a delivery service for large items?
Yes. Please speak to a member of staff for a quote, as the delivery charge will depend upon the milage required to reach the destination.
Does this shop sell any new items?
Yes, we sell chalk paint for use in upcycling and some gifting items such as cards and jewellery.
About our paint:
We sell ReColour Chalky Furniture Paint, perfect for all your upcycling projects. Made with leftover, waste paint which has been filtered, treated, and blended to create a range of stunning colours. No need to prep, just grab a paint brush and start painting!
ReColour’s paint remanufacturing process has been created in partnership with Dulux and New Life Paints, resulting in a quality and eco-friendly paint.
Can I donate to this shop?
Yes please! Whitestone is also home to our large Donation Centre. Our drop-off point is located at the rear of the building with dedicated parking spaces for unloading your items. Please note that we are unable to accept donations at the till within the shop itself.
If you have large quality items of furniture you would like to donate, we can help! Our collection service can discuss your items with you and collect them from your home. This can’t be organised from our Whitestone site though unfortunately, so please get in touch with the Collection Service Team directly in one of these ways:

Parking
How many parking spaces are there?
Whitestone has over 80 parking spaces, which includes dedicated bays for Blue Badge and Adult and Child parking.
Is there parking for adults with children?
Yes, we have dedicated parking spaces marked in blue for adults and children.
Is there parking for blue badge holders?
Yes, this is located on the left-hand side as you enter the one-way system at Whitestone.
Accessibility
Is there an accessible toilet?
Yes, we have an accessible toilet, located to the left of the cafe area.
How do you enter the shop in a wheelchair or with a buggy?
For easy access, we have a passenger lift located to the right of the main staircase into the shop.
Families
Does this shop have baby changing facilities?
Yes, there is one baby change facility inside the accessible toilet located near the cafe. A nappy bin is provided, and we’d ask that you also use this for wipes.
Does this shop have facilities for children and families?
Yes, we have highchairs for the cafe, plus baby changing facilities inside our accessible toilet. To keep them occupied, we have The Play Corner, plus a football table and arcade machine near our Books & Media area. For convenience, we have Adult & Child parking and a passenger lift to help those with buggies access the main shop.
What age is The Play Corner for?
There are two zones within the play corner, an area for babies (0-12 months) which has a foam floor covering and is enclosed. The second zone is for young children and has a foam floor covering, a playhouse, toys to encourage role play and soft beanbags.
Parents and carers are responsible for their children when using this area.
Is there a cost for The Play Corner?
No, it is free for little ones to enjoy the play corner. Please note that food and drink is not permitted within this area, and we’d ask that you don’t take any toys from the shop floor into The Play Corner.
Dogs
Is this shop dog friendly?
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. We ask that you please take any dog waste home with you and not leave it on site.
Food & Drink
What is on the menu at the café?
We offer a range of hot and cold drinks, cakes and scones, paninis, jacket potatoes, soup of the day and sandwiches. Lunch is served 12-3pm. Last orders in the cafe are an hour before closing (4pm) to allow for cleaning and cashing up.
Are there options for individuals with dietary requirements, e.g. gluten-free, vegan etc.?
We provide oat or soy milk options to accompany tea and our regular or Americano coffees and try and provide snacks to suit a gluten-free or vegan diet.
