Welkom! St Michael's delighted to host visitor from Dutch hospice

Marian van der Veen was given a tour ahead of writing a piece on life at St Michael’s

We often welcome visitors from across our community, eager to find out more about St Michael’s. But it’s rare we welcome guests from overseas.

We’re delighted, therefore, to welcome Marian van der Veen, a volunteer at the Hospice Thuis van Leeghwater in the Netherlands.

Marian is spending four weeks in the UK and stopped by to learn more about St Michael’s, and the wider hospice movement over here, ahead of her writing a story in a publication for hospice volunteers back home.

She was shown around by Jackie (pictured left with Marian on our Inpatient Unit), who leads our Hospice tours.
