Pebble cairn installed at St Michael’s

For years, those attending our Remembrance Afternoons have been invited to choose or personalise a pebble with a message to a loved one who has been cared for by St Michael’s.

Over time, hundreds have been collected.

This week they were placed together to create a beautiful cairn in the grounds of our Hospice garden here in Bartestree.

‘Each of these pebbles has a story behind it,’ said Fiona Horwood, Chaplain at St Michael’s.  

‘They’re beautiful to look at and are a fitting addition to our blossoming Hospice garden.

‘We hope those who have donated a pebble during our Remembrance Afternoons over the years will be happy to see that their loved ones will always have a place here at St Michael’s.’
