Lottery winner had very special reason to sign up
Our latest Lottery winner only began playing just before lockdown, and had a special reason for joining.
‘My husband, Robert, is an associate vicar at Holmer Church in Hereford and was so impressed by a recent placement at St Michael’s,’ said Melissa Oram.
‘From that moment I knew I wanted to donate to St Michael’s, so when I came across the Lottery I decided to sign up.
‘To receive the call to say I’d won £1,000 was a real shock, but a lovely surprise.’
Robert spent time with the Hospice’s Chaplaincy team, led by Jill Groves, and says he quickly learnt what a special place St Michael’s is.
‘That two months had a profound influence on me,’ he added.
The couple say they will use the money to provide for their grandchild who is due at the end of the month.
To make sure that each Friday you’re in with a chance of winning £1,000, or one of 23 other cash prizes, sign up to the St Michael’s Hospice Lottery by clicking here
