Jonathan's special reason for entering RUN Hereford
Jonathan’s mum, Pauline, was cared for by St Michael’s
When Jonathan Chartres stands on the RUN Hereford start line in May, the 13 miles in front of him won’t be the only thing on his mind.
Jonathan will be running in memory of his dear mum, Pauline, who spent her last ten days at St Michael’s last August.
“It was a very emotional time of course, but Mum received top quality care from the team at the Hospice, who were also very kind and accommodating to the family,” said Jonathan, who returned to St Michael’s before Christmas to join his young niece in meeting Santa at our Grotto.
“Mum would have loved to have been there for that, and it was another touching reminder of the brilliant work that St Michael’s does,” added Jonathan.
Jonathan has run a few half marathons when he was younger, but has never taken on RUN Hereford before.
“Training is going well though, with the support of the brilliant Alex at SPC Smart Performance Coaching,” said Jonathan.
