John shares his passion for bees – and St Michael’s

Hospice supporter John Wells shared his passion for bees during a talk at St Michael’s.

John’s wife, Susan, died in our care last year and after joining one of the Hospice’s bereavement support groups he set-up a Whatsapp phone group allowing others going through bereavement to keep in touch with each other.

‘It’s helped a great deal,’ said John.

‘We talk about gardening and other hobbies, and support each other too. We also meet up.’

A Bereavement Officer from St Michael’s is part of the group and can lend support if required.

‘It was a pleasure to do the talk on bees,’ he added. ‘St Michael’s just means such a lot to me. It’s a place which cares for people in so many ways.’
