This isn’t a stitch up – supporter Jenny Macklin just loves knitting outfits for our Memory Bears.

She’s made over 300 in less than a year, and brought her family with her to donate the latest batch.

Memory Bears are offered to our patients to hand out to younger relatives, providing comfort and a tangible memory of loved ones.

Our recent story about Lauren Hartless booking a return trip to Turkey to look for a lost St Michael’s Hospice bear left Jenny very emotional.

“I couldn’t believe it when I read her story,” said Jenny.

“To think a little bear can mean so much to someone many years on is so touching. It’s one of the many reasons I just love making the outfits for these bears.”
