We are always looking for people to join us at our events throughout the year. In fact, we couldn’t make them as big and as brilliant without our volunteer event marshals!
There’s always lots to do at our events, including:
- Encouraging walkers/runners/cyclists
- Ensuring participants stay on the right path
- Contacting the Fundraising Team if there is an issue, i.e. a participant is taken ill
- Making sure participants have water and a medal
- Helping participants find where they need to go i.e. the Info Point, starting line etc
What skills do I need?
Do you enjoy talking to people, making them feel welcome and helping them to have fun safely? If the answer is ‘yes’, you have all the skills we need to make you a first class Marshal.
How much time do I need to give?
A volunteering session as a marshal is usually 3 to 4 hours, but can vary based on the event. Events are held throughout the year, so there are plenty of events to choose from.
Where will I be based?
All of our events are held in Herefordshire. So you’re sure to find an event local to you.
