Your Wye Valley adventure starts here!

Join us for a stunning September walk through the hidden gem that is Herefordshire’s Wye Valley. Choose a full 24-mile route, or a 12-mile half course, safe in the knowledge that each step is supporting St Michael’s Hospice.

You’ll follow riverside paths from Hereford (Full route) before making your way to the beautiful riverside village of Mordiford. From there, you’ll climb to Brockhampton before following the Wye south to How Caple and on to the finish line at Goodrich.

It’s the perfect opportunity to remind yourself why Herefordshire is such a beautiful place.

Choose your distance

Whether you tackle the full course from Hereford Rowing Club, or the half course from Brockhampton Cricket Club, you’ll experience breathtaking views, a supportive atmosphere, and a huge sense of achievement – all while supporting St Michael’s Hospice.

Full route – 24 miles

Starting from Hereford Rowing Club, this scenic 24-mile trek takes you through the beautiful south Herefordshire countryside. Enjoy stunning scenery, friendly vibes and a well-earned lunch stop!

Half route – 12 miles

Begin at the picturesque Brockhampton Cricket Club, in the heart of Herefordshire’s beautiful rural landscape. Your 12-mile route will take you through How Caple before heading to the finish at Goodrich Village Hall. A memorable challenge set against a stunning backdrop.

Take on the Wye Valley Trek!

Choose between a full or half route, each one guiding you through beautiful South Herefordshire scenery. Starting from Hereford Rowing Club (Full route), you will make your way to Mordiford, following the Wye as it flows through How Caple, and on to the finish at Goodrich.

Half route participants will join the walk at the stunning Brockhampton Cricket Club – the halfway point – and continue alongside the full-distance walkers to the finish line in Goodrich.

Transport for all is included from the car parking site, near the the Finish Line, out to the Start Line at Hereford Rowing Club. Along the route, you’ll find water stations, snacks, comfort break facilities, and medical support to help keep you going.

Whether you’re in it for the challenge or the scenery, join Team Trek and make every mile count!

We would prefer it if those taking part had some map-reading skills.
You must also have a device on which you can download the map.

We love capturing all the special moments and sharing them with our wonderful supporters! These images may be used for promotional purposes, in future publications, presentations, and across our digital and social media channels for up to five years after the event.

If you’d prefer not to be in any photos, simply let a member of the St Michael’s Hospice team know, and they’ll ensure you’re not included in any images used.

Our staff will be easy to spot, wearing badges and high-vis vests marked “Press & Media Team.”
