Harriet’s generosity is a cut above

Many of us have been enjoying a long-overdue visit to the barbers this month.

Harriet Rogers’ recent cut was extra special though as she had almost 14 inches of hair lopped off for two good causes.

Having intentionally grown it for a year, she decided to donate her flowing locks to the Hereford-based Little Princess Trust which provides real-hair wigs to children and young people experiencing hair loss.

Her efforts raised £725 which has been split equally between the Trust and St Michael’s, which holds a special place in Harriet’s heart because of the care given to her Grandma by our team back in 2013.

‘She was at peace for the last few months of her life and the support provided to my family was unbelievable,’ said Harriet.

Her fundraising amount trounced Harriet’s initial £100 target thanks to the generosity of family, friends and work colleagues.

She added: ‘I hope this money will help support other patients and families like mine at St Michael’s Hospice.’
