On your marks, get set, Ho Ho Ho. The Hereford Santa Run brings a flash of red to the City centre with hundreds of runners dressed as Santa Claus to spread festive fun and burn a few cheeky calories for the holidays.

Choose between the 2.5K and 5K routes, both of which are signed, marshalled and as traffic free as we can make them.

We have reached capacity for sign ups this year!

Thank you to everyone who has registered to take part and is now encouraging friends and family to sponsor them.

If missed out, don’t worry; we have set up a waiting list for you to join. See details below.

We have been astounded with the response to our Santa Run this year!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up and will be receiving sponsorship. By getting sponsored, you are directly supporting the essential care we offer to patients, families and carers.

We have sold out of places to take part this year unfortunately. However, you are able to join the waiting list in case we have cancellations or are able to expand our capacity.

How to join the waiting list:

Email: events@smhospicehereford.org

Subject: Santa Run Waiting List

Please include:

  • Your name
  • Number of adults wishing to take part
  • Number of children wishing to take part
  • Your contact telephone number

Whilst we cannot guarantee places becoming available, if they do, we will contact everyone on the waiting list in order. Thank you for supporting us.

We’ll have some additional festive accessories for you to buy on the day. All items are subject to stock availability.

Registration opens at 9.00am and closes at 9.50am

Warm up: 9.55am

Start Time: 10.00am

Choose between our 5K or 2.5K runs. Both of the two runs are fully signed and marshalled. After crossing the finish line, each runner will receive a medal, bottle of water, sweet treat and later check their time online.

There’s no prizes for winning so you’re welcome to walk, jog or run your way around whichever course you choose. The main thing is to have some festive fun, dressed up as Santa and raising vital funds for St Michael’s Hospice.

We are happy to accept wheelchair entrants however dogs are not permitted.

Children over 5 years can take part in the 2.5K jog (please be aware this involves crossing West Street). Children over 8 years can take part in the 2.5K jog or 5K run.

An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 16 for the duration of the event.

We would love you to raise sponsorship money in support of St Michael’s Hospice. Asking family and friends to sponsor you can be a fun and rewarding way to shout about your challenge or event and to raise awareness of our Hospice.

Your sponsorship money goes directly to providing care for those who need it most, whenever they may need it. Our care goes far beyond the patient too. Did you know that we support families and children in bereavement and dealing with a terminally ill loved-one?

Every penny we receive really makes a tangible difference to someone’s life so anything you can raise, how ever small, has a big impact.

For those raising over £52, some Christmas Elves have let us some goody bags filled with treats to say thank you for going that little bit further.

You can download a sponsorship form from the link on the top right of this page or start a Just Giving page of your own.
