There’s no prizes for winning so you’re welcome to walk, jog or run your way around whichever course you choose. The main thing is to have some festive fun, dressed up as Santa and raising vital funds for St Michael’s Hospice.
Both the 2.5k and 5k routes start and finish at Maylord Orchards in town, this is where you will check in and collect your Santa Suit. After your warmup by the Starlight Dance company both distances will start together heading through town. When you reach the end of Eign Gate Road the distances will then split going their separate ways before re-joining at Castle Street. This is when all runners will head through High Town pass the Black and White House to finish the race together back at Maylord Orchards.
Have you got a four-legged friend?
Why not join in our brand-new Santa Paws event. Take on the same 2.5k or 5k route (starting just 15 minutes later), surrounded by fellow dog lovers and their four-legged Santas.
We would love you to raise sponsorship money in support of St Michael’s Hospice. Asking family and friends to sponsor you can be a fun and rewarding way to shout about your challenge or event and to raise awareness of our Hospice.
With your entry fee going to the cost of running the event, it’s your sponsorship efforts that make a big difference to the patients at the Hospice and their families. All you need is 10 friends or family members to donate £5 each (the cost of a coffee and cake) and you will reach our £50 sponsorship ask, making a tangible difference to someone’s life here at the Hospice. So, anything you can raise, however big or small, has a giant impact.
