In the run-up to Christmas, we’re asking your little darlings to dash around their school field or playground while getting sponsored for St Michael’s Hospice.

With our Rudolph Run, it’s up to you how to play it.

Choose the date, distance and location – it could be a brisk walk around the playground, or a gentle jog on the school field – and we’ll help prepare the rest.

Children don antlers and noses and join Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen – or whatever their friends are called – for this free event which puts the fun into fundraising.

Encourage every child to collect sponsorship and help St Michael’s Hospice continue caring to make a difference this Christmas. Book an audience-appropriate assembly to learn about the hospice and where their fundraising will go.

You know your setting and your children better than anyone, so we’ll leave it up to you where you have your course, how far the children run or walk, and when the event takes place.

It could be everyone together, one class at a time during their PE lesson, or when you do your ‘Daily Mile’. It’s up to you.  

You might do one lap of the playground or allow the children to do as many laps as they wish. As long as all those taking part wear their Rudolph nose and antlers (which we’ll provide) and collect sponsorship, it will be part of our Rudolph Run. 

You will need to make sure you follow your setting’s Health and Safety policy, and adhere to any relevant Covid guidelines in place at the time.

  • Optional sponsorship envelopes for your pupils to collect money for St Michael’s 
  • Helpful hints on how to raise money on event day for your school 
  • Thank You certificate for every reindeer taking part 

Help us spread the word about Rudolph Run by tagging us into your social media posts before, during and after your event day. We’re on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Get creative and your artwork could be selected as our Rudolph Run logo.

The winning logo will feature on all our marketing for this festive event.

So take the reins, dig out the coloured pens and start designing.

Entrants must be aged 11 or under. The design should be submitted by post only and be with us at St Michael’s by Monday 27th September.

The winner of the competition will receive a £20 Love2Shop voucher.

The design must:
• be hand-drawn by a child aged 11 or under;
• include the words ‘Rudolph Run’ plus a relevant illustration;
• be attractive;
• arrive in the Hospice by post by 9am on Monday 27th September.
