Edna’s Big Tea

Edna Hughes, one of our Hospice flower arrangers has found a new way of fundraising for the Hospice during the pandemic by hosting socially distanced Big Tea’s at her home.

Edna, who has supported the Hospice since it was founded hosted a series of Big Tea events throughout September in her garden according to the covid restrictions . Small groups of people were invited to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in exchange for a donation to the Hospice. Edna also put together and displayed a board about the Hospice and the work we do.

Thanks to Edna, her famous cakes and sandwiches and her generous friends, they raised £500! A fantastic amount.
