“It made my day” said Donald, who loves Top Gear
Donald, who is staying with us at the moment, loves Top Gear.
So when Richard Hammond spent the day with us during our Classic Car Show on Sunday, Donald was overjoyed to meet the famous presenter.
“It made my day,” said Donald, who even got to sit in Richard’s famous 1960s Opel Kadett – lovingly called Oliver, and which featured in the legendary Top Gear ‘Botswana’ Special.
“I’ve always loved that car and that episode in particular,” added Donald. “When I got back to my room, I even watched it again.
“Richard was so friendly, and I can’t thank him enough for taking the time to talk to me, sign my shirt, and allow me to sit in that wonderful car.”
