Derrick’s generosity benefits students

Author Derrick Murphy was a keen supporter of St Michael’s Hospice, donating various items, including sporting memorabilia, for us to auction off to raise funds.

He died at St Michael’s in 2019 and always said he wanted his history books to be used by students studying, or with an interest in, history.

So, Hereford Sixth Form College stepped in and hosted a book sale featuring some of Derrick’s vast collection, with all proceeds coming to St Michael’s.

We’re truly grateful to Derrick, his wife Janet, and everyone at Hereford Sixth Form College for supporting this wonderful idea.
