Community Support Worth Its Weight in Gold
A Malvern jewellers’ generous support
At St Michael’s Hospice, our local community is at the heart of what we do. Every donation, every visit, and every shared story helps us to continue caring for people and their families when it matters most. But it’s not just individuals who lend their support, many local businesses play an important role too.
One shining example is Parrys of Malvern, a quality, independent jewellers in the heart of Great Malvern. For more than a decade, Parrys has supported our Malvern charity shop by providing free professional valuations for donated jewellery. Their expert assessments help us determine the true value of each piece, ensuring that special items are priced correctly and can raise the maximum funds for patient care.
Nick Hetherington, Managing Director at Parrys of Malvern, explained:
“The process of offering free valuations began before I started at Parrys, which was over 12 years ago. We’ve always liked to help people out, whether it’s charities like St Michael’s Hospice or others. It’s just in our nature, and it’s our ethos to help in whatever way we can.”
This partnership means that when something special is donated to our Malvern shop, perhaps a vintage ring or an intriguing brooch, we can rely on the team at Parrys to help us understand its worth and find it a new home. This simple but vital support contributes directly to our ability to raise essential funds for the hospice.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to Parrys of Malvern. Your kindness, time, and expertise truly are worth their weight in gold.
