FUNDRAISING

In the field, playground or classroom, there’s a way for you to help us

Young people have an important part to play in supporting St Michael’s Hospice and we really value our relationships with schools and colleges within the community.

How to get involved

Raising money is a brilliant way to bring the school together and also teaches children about the importance of helping others.

We have a range of assemblies we can deliver, with language and involvement to suit all age groups so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’d like to learn more.

There are many ways in which you can support us, and we simply couldn’t continue offering the range of care and support to our patients and their families without your generosity.

Fundraising Guide

Whatever way you choose to support us, we’ll help you on your way to fundraising success. We have lots of great suggestions to inspire you but we also love seeing schools putting a new spin on an old idea or coming up with completely fresh ones. Our fundraising guide is a great read which helps set you on your journey and don’t forget we’re here to help!

Rudolph Run

In the run-up to Christmas, we have a fantastic campaign that promotes helping others, keeping fit and growing confidence as children dash around their school field or playground wearing reindeer antlers and a ruby red Rudolph nose. This can be held at any time throughout November and December, with a member of staff receiving their very own Santa suit.

Benny Bear's Picnic

Our friendly mascot, Benny the Bear would love to be a part of a teddy bear’s picnic at your school, nursery or other early years group setting.  We have a whole pack of resources to make it as easy as possible for you all to join in with this wonderful campaign, including bear headbands and games.  The Benny Bear picnic is perfect for the summer term.

It’s free to take part, so why not get in touch today to find out more.

Request a talk or assembly visit

We’d love to come out to talk to your pupils, staff and parents about the work we do here, and how we help people across the community. Why not get in touch today, and we could even bring our fluffy mascot Benny the Bear with us!
