Charity cricket match raises over £16,000

Rain might have stopped some play, but it certainly didn’t put a dampener on the amazing fundraising efforts by Brockhampton Cricket Club, as they hosted Herefordshire Cricket vs world famous Marylebone Cricket Club for a charity cricket match, in tribute to former Brockhampton CC captain Andrew Watkins who died at St Michael’s Hospice in 2019.

There was limited cricket on show because of the rain, but that didn’t stop a good time being had by all in attendance and the event has raised over £16,000. Thank you Brockhampton Cricket Club and everyone involved.
