Hospice Care Week
Hospice Care Week
Each day, our dedicated teams of clinical professionals clock in with one thing on their mind – to provide the best possible care to those who need it most.
Wander around St Michael’s and it won’t take you long to see this care in practice.
It might be reassuring advice; it might be a hand of comfort on the shoulder; it could just be a welcoming smile.
Our care doesn’t stop when you leave St Michael’s, though.
Our Hospice at Home team supports patients who wish to be cared for in their own home. Families are supported too, and they will be for as long as they need us.
We value our staff, and we want to see them thrive. Harriet is one such example. Less than six years ago, she joined St Michael’s Hospice as a Healthcare Assistant working on our Inpatient Unit (IPU).
Having completed a Nursing degree, she returned as a Registered Nurse.
“I love working at St Michael’s Hospice and I’m so happy to be back here,” she said.
“The Education team at St Michael’s was so supportive during my degree, and I came back to the Hospice during my placement which really helped.
“It’s such a rewarding place to work. If you’re thinking of applying, I’d definitely recommend it.”
Next Friday (20th October), we have a Clinical Recruitment Open Days here at St Michael’s Hospice in Bartestree. It takes place between 5-6pm and admission is free.
