FUNDRAISING

Within your community

With approximately 80% of the Hospice’s annual budget covered by voluntary donations from our community, it’s easy to say we simply wouldn’t be here without you.

How to get involved

Your dedication to supporting St Michael’s Hospice through various events, challenges and fundraisers ensures that the care received by those in need is bespoke, compassionate, dignified and free-of-charge.

The team are always pleased to come out to your group and talk about the work of the Hospice, or you are more than welcome to organise a visit to the Hospice for a talk and tour; this is a great way of seeing how your efforts support those in the community. To organise a talk or talk and tour, please get in touch today.

Tea & coffee mornings

Coffee mornings and tea parties are the bread and butter of fundraising. They provide a wonderful opportunity to get your friends, colleagues or even your wider community together. Take time to catch up, have a natter, eat treats and raise some ‘dough’ to support St Michael’s Hospice.

We can help you with recipes and contacts as well as providing posters, balloons and buckets; just choose your date and venue and get in touch.

Fundraising Guide

Whatever way you choose to support us, we’ll help you on your way to fundraising success. We have lots of great suggestions to inspire you but we also love seeing schools putting a new spin on an old idea or coming up with completely fresh ones. Our fundraising guide is a great read which helps set you on your journey and don’t forget we’re here to help!

Volunteering

We have plenty of opportunities to support St Michael’s Hospice in a voluntary capacity; from roles within the Hospice to those in our retail shops. You might also want to offer your services in support of our events, a vital income stream for us. Events and Community volunteers give up between 2 and 6 hours on an ad hoc basis to complete tasks such as registration, car parking, catering and selling raffle tickets. This fulfilling role gives you an opportunity to do something different with friends and family or meet new people without needing to commit long term.

If you are interested in volunteering at an event, please get in touch.
