Badgers group donates thousands of used stamps

Hereford Wyeside Badgers have donated tens of thousands of used stamps to us.
The stamps, which include historic and overseas examples, will be checked by a stamp expert and, if deemed valuable, sent to auction with any fundraising coming to us here at St Michael’s.
Badgers group members have collected stamps since 1993, in memory of their former County Secretary, Iris Lochhead.
”The badgers really enjoy collecting the stamps and we are amazed by how many they can collect in a year,” said Sonya Johnson, Hereford Wyeside Badgers’ Badger Sett Lead.
“We have some badgers who really go out to win the trophy by asking neighbours, schoolteachers, relations and their local churches.”
Pictured are Elliot, who collected over 13,000 stamps, and Luca and Jude who collected over 20,000.
