A decade of Big Teas
A decade of Big Teas
St Michael’s Hospice Big Tea
Carol Powell and her friends have brought a slice of fundraising joy to St Michael’s for the last 20 years.
This summer the group held a Big Tea at Brimfield Village Hall, following similar events held for the past two decades.
They tell us the latest event has helped their combined total pass £20,000 for St Michael’s.
Carol, who volunteers at our Home and Living store in Leominster, began her fundraising journey in response to seeing the exemplary care provided to her sister who spent time at St Michael’s back in 2000.
‘Carol and her legion of friends have proved inspirational fundraisers for two decades,’ said Big Tea co-ordinator, Gaynor Warren.
‘Thanks to their dedication, £20,000 has made its way to St Michael’s, helping families across our community at a time they need it most.
‘If you’ve been inspired by their efforts, and would like to follow suit, we would love to hear from you.’
A Big Tea is the perfect way to raise money for St Michael’s, just by doing something we all love – drinking tea and eating cake.
