An Invitation to Find Calm, Clarity and Resilience

This 8-session Mindfulness for Stress course, starting 13th September, offers a gentle yet powerful journey into developing mindfulness skills that can support you both now and long into the future. Week by week, you’ll be guided through practical approaches that help you build confidence, deepen awareness, and gently embed mindful ways of being into everyday life.

Rather than being something you “do,” mindfulness becomes something you begin to live, a steadier, kinder way of relating to your thoughts, emotions, and the world around you.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity, and without judgement. It helps you step out of automatic patterns of worry, overthinking, or self-criticism, and instead meet life with greater calm and clarity.

It also creates space to notice moments of ease and wellbeing that are often missed in busy or stressful lives, allowing a greater sense of appreciation for everyday experiences.

Mindfulness approaches are widely recommended within healthcare, including by NICE guidance, and are used to support people experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, and depression. It is also increasingly used to help those living with chronic pain, long-term health conditions, and the emotional strain that can come with ongoing illness.

How Can Mindfulness Help You?

Over the eight sessions between September and November, you will be gently supported to develop practical skills that can make a meaningful difference to how you experience daily life.

Mindfulness can help you:

Feel calmer and more emotionally balanced
Reduce stress, worry, and overthinking
Improve sleep and relaxation
Increase resilience during difficult or uncertain times
Develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself
Build a greater sense of wellbeing and steadiness in everyday life

The practices you’ll explore include simple meditation techniques such as focusing on the breath, noticing bodily sensations, and gently bringing awareness back to the present moment. These approaches help anchor you in the here and now, rather than becoming caught up in tension, resistance, or mental overwhelm.

A New Way of Responding to Life

As the course unfolds, you will begin to learn how to:

Live more fully in the present moment
Breathe into your experience rather than tense against it
Respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity rather than reacting automatically

Over time, many people notice subtle but powerful shifts, feeling more grounded, more patient, and more able to meet life’s ups and downs with steadiness and self-understanding.

No experience needed, just an open mind

This course is an opportunity to invest in yourself, gently build resilience, and discover a calmer way of being in the midst of everyday life.
