Barbarians rugby match raises almost £25K

This is the third in the Barbarians series of matches

What a conversion!

In just a couple of years, the Hospice Barbarians rugby team has raised well over £50,000 for St Michael’s.

The group, made up of players from clubs across the region, took on the Gorillas last Saturday, a team featuring military service leavers and veterans.

The encounter took place at Bromyard Rugby Club, and was the Barbarians’ third fixture since its inception back in 2023.

The day raised around £24,000! This incredible figure was boosted by the generosity of those attending – including the well-supported auction and raffle before the game – and the event’s many sponsors.

Huge thanks to everyone who attended, plus the players, officials, and auctioneers, Simon and Bob.

Particular thanks to Nick Nenadich and his wife, Helen, for organising this day and ensuring such a wonderful amount of money is making its way to St Michael’s.

Fantastic photos as always from Joe Nobile.
