1,300 mile walk to raise funds for St Michael’s

Paul Robertson has undertaken the mammoth task of raising funds for St Michael’s by walking from one end of Britain to the other.

Paul’s mother died here just over three years ago and he was so taken by the care she received that he decided to embark on 1,300-mile journey from Cape Wrath in north-western Scotland, to Lizard Point, Britain’s most westerly southern spot, as you do.

Paul set off at the beginning of May, and finished on the 25th August and with the help of people along the way, has raised £1,569 to date.

He said ‘ It’s been a mad trip, I met so many nice people. Some of the donations have blown me away, £125 and £65 off strangers I just met on the trail. It felt so rewarding to be representing the hospice and telling people along the way how much that meant to me. Now it’s time to decompress and get back into the groove of everyday life.’
