About your Hospice

We are an independent charity, and all our services are free of charge. It costs over £13,000 per day to provide these services. 90% of all our funding is raised by our local community.

St Michael’s Hospice is the major provider of education and training in palliative care in Herefordshire. We aim to encourage learning and confidence in all aspects of caring for patients and their families.

Hospice Redevelopment

The new Inpatient Unit at St Michael's Hospice has been built to the highest engineering standards. Every aspect has been considered to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of the local community for generations to come.

You got Gary to Hereford

Gary Barlow

A social media campaign called Get Gary to Hereford was started by a local events company: Prestige Events "got" Gary Barlow to St Michael’s Hospice.
After watching a video featuring 500 Hospice supporters, Gary Barlow said. 'I get sent thousands of films, but Hereford's was by far the best, so I had to come.'
