We’re winners!

Our Hospice at Home Hub walked away with the ‘Palliative or End of Life Care Award’ last night during the Hereford Times Health & Social Care Awards.

The prestigious ceremony, held at Hereford Racecourse, brought together healthcare leaders from across Herefordshire and beyond.

St Michael’s was victorious in a category which included Elgar Care Ltd, and Specialist Palliative Care Team, Wye Valley NHS Trust.

Representing St Michael’s was Senior Hub Nurse Verity Williams, and Karen Rees, our Care Home Sister.

“We’d like to thank the people of Herefordshire for your support in enabling us to provide high-quality palliative and end-of-life care to those that need it,” said Verity.

“It’s been achieved due to the vision and support of Jade Dyke-Whitfield, our Head of Community Services at St Michael’s Hospice. We dedicate this award to her.”

The awards were held in partnership with the University of Worcester and Altogether Care.
