Two-person show highlights importance of talking openly and honestly with children about death

'Thought-provoking' production took place at St Michael's Hospice

Big Pants Theatre Company delivered ‘Comfort’ at St Michael’s to those receiving help from Hope Support Services

A two-person theatre performance highlighting the importance of talking openly and honestly with children about death has taken place at St Michael’s.

Joe and Willow from the Really Big Pants Theatre Company visited us to put on their beautiful show, which is called Comfort.

It was staged for members of our friends at Hope Support Services as part of Hope at St Michael’s, which offers both group and individual support tailored for children and young people aged from 5 to 25 when a loved one has a serious illness or has died.

The production was described as ‘thought-provoking’ and ‘lovely’ and received a positive response from the audience, with everyone taking part afterwards in the enjoyable craft activity of making pom-poms to take home.

Although based in London, Joe’s family live in Herefordshire and her uncle received end-of-life care from St Michael’s.

She said that she and Willow enjoyed visiting St Michael’s, and were amazed by the “breathtaking view from the terrace”.

Yep, we’re with you!
