Triple jackpot for Sarah as Hospice Lottery turns 21

Triple jackpot for Sarah as Hospice Lottery turns 21

As our Hospice Lottery turns 21, one of our players has cause for her own celebration.
Sarah Legge is our latest jackpot winner – the third time she has won the £1,000 top prize.
Only last September, she scooped £1,000 which meant she was able to pay for a headstone for her husband Richard, who died last February.

Sarah’s hat-trick of jackpots is particularly fitting as it comes in the same month St Michael’s celebrates 21 years of its Hospice Lottery.

‘I’ve been played the Hospice Lottery since it started, so to win again as they’re celebrating this milestone is very special,’ said Sarah, who was presented with a bouquet of flowers during a visit to the Hospice in Bartestree to receive her winning cheque.

The St Michael’s Hospice at Home team cared for Richard, who died at his Bromyard home.
‘The care was just outstanding. They did everything they could, for all of us.
‘Most of all though, they allowed Richard to die where he wanted to, at home.’
