Sustainable Style: Miley & Ryan’s story!
Over three weeks, one committed couple furnished their entire home with items found at St Michael’s Hospice Shops!
Having recently moved to Ross-on-Wye, Miley and Ryan were keen to find the perfect furniture and homeware to complete their new home.
Looking to save money and find good quality furniture, over the course of three weeks, they visited St Michael’s Hospice Whitestone shop and Alton Road, Ross-on-Wye Home & Living multiple times to find the right items for them.
Miley and Ryan said, “When it came to buying furniture, we would much rather put money into supporting a local charity than buying new at three times the price. Now pretty much everything in our home is from St Michael’s Hospice.”
The couple added that their purchases included a dining table and chairs, a TV unit, sofa, footstool and some ornaments too. By forming a relationship with Neil Parkinson, Assistant Manager at Whitestone, the duo was able to find incredible furniture and take advantage of St Michael’s home delivery service.
“I estimate we’ve spent between £1,500 and £1,600 with St Michael’s and are happy to have supported a great local cause,” said Ryan.
Not only have Miley and Ryan created a stylish and welcoming home, but they’ve also helped support hospice care in their local community. By choosing pre-loved furniture, they’ve embraced sustainable living while making a real difference to those in need.
