Each Friday we surprise one lucky Hospice Lottery player by phoning to say they’re £1,000 richer.

The call from our Lottery Manager Michelle was extra special for recent winner, Tony Welling.

‘I’d been shielding through lockdown and hadn’t been out for 17 weeks, so it was lovely news to receive.

‘I think I’m going to take my family out for a nice meal once we’re able to.’

Tony and his wife, who both live in Hereford, were reminded of the importance of St Michael’s a few years ago during a visit to Bartestree to see a friend.

‘I was so impressed by the care. It made me realise what a worthwhile cause the Hospice is and I’m glad we can support them by playing the Lottery.’
