St Michael’s Hospice Calls on Local Businesses and Volunteers to Help Transform New Shop

Let's bring the community together by helping to transform this amazing space

This year marks a significant milestone for St Michael’s Hospice as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, and we are thrilled to announce the opening of not one but two extraordinary new shops, including our largest site yet at Whitestone Business Park.

The 50,000 square foot space is set to become a vibrant community hub, featuring a shop, café, and a donation and upcycling centre. As part of our “Love your local hospice” campaign, we are reaching out to the community for support to ensure this space becomes a welcoming and thriving addition to our community.

Community Days at Whitestone:
Friday 15th & Saturday 16th March 2024

In our effort to involve the community and garner local support, we are hosting two special Community Days at Whitestone. These days, scheduled for Friday 15th and Saturday 16th March 2024, will provide an opportunity for supporters and locals to preview the incredible space and actively participate in helping us to bring this shop to life!

Refreshments and all necessary materials will be provided, and we are calling on the local business community, organisations, and individuals to join us in making this project a success.

How you can help:

St Michael’s Hospice is largely volunteer-led, and we are immensely grateful for any time and skills you can offer. Whether you’re handy with a hammer, skilled with a roller, or simply love making tea, your contribution is invaluable. We’ve made significant progress, but the support of the community is crucial to get the Whitestone Shop up and running promptly, especially following the recent closure of our Holmer Road shop.

If you’re a crafter or upcycler, your expertise is also needed. Join us in giving donated furniture and items a fresh lease of life, ensuring they’re ready for sale in our new shop.
