RUN Hereford expected to raise £20k

Hundreds of runners descended on Hereford for one of the city’s largest multi-distance running events.

Those taking part in RUN Hereford on Sunday took part in either a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon.

The annual event organised by St Michael’s Hospice is expected to raise in the region of £20,000 for the Bartestree-based Hospice.

“We’re delighted that RUN Hereford was such a success,” said Matt Ashcroft, the Hospice’s Events and Community Fundraising Manager.

“Each of the three distances were well populated and we’ve had some great feedback.

“I’d like to thank our runners, and those who cheered them on, both out on the courses, and when they returned to Hereford Livestock Market.

“Thanks also to our sponsors, Hereford Contract Canning, as well as our marshals and volunteers. Without their help, we would not be able to put on events like this.”

Money raised from RUN Hereford will help St Michael’s continue to provide free of charge care to those across our community.
