Quiet space used by families after loved one dies has been transformed thanks to dedication of two volunteer gardeners

Thank you to Julia and Stella, and all the volunteer gardeners, for their hard work and dedication to our gardens and grounds here at St Michael’s

Our care doesn’t just stop when someone dies.

When a patient dies at St Michael’s Hospice, those close to them are invited to a quiet space to say a final goodbye, reflect and collect their thoughts.

Within the Osborne Suite is access to a garden for loved ones to reflect and remember.

This special area is looking beautifully tranquil thanks to the sterling work of two our volunteer gardeners who have planted items and tended to the space.

The transformation was inspired and driven by one of our Senior Nurses, as well as other members of staff.

Thank you to Julia and Stella, and all the volunteer gardeners, for their hard work and dedication to our gardens and grounds here at St Michael’s.
