Norma's birthday surprise

We surprised Norma, one of our first-ever volunteers, on her birthday

From the day St Michael’s Hospice opened, Norma has been a familiar face here.

Starting as a volunteer nurse back in 1984, she has given so much of her time to support us and help those visiting St Michael’s.

Now, she regularly attends one of our Friday Day Services groups, and we couldn’t let her birthday pass without celebrating it.

So thanks to Ali in our kitchen team, Norma celebrated her big day in style.

And if you’re wondering why it’s a 21^st cake… well, that’s how old she told everyone she is. And who are we to argue.
