Mum’s memoirs published to support St Michael’s

Hospice supporter Ros Bissell has published her mum’s memoirs, with proceeds coming to St Michael’s.

Rosalind Johnson died in 2020 aged 98 and for many years had written down stories and anecdotes from her life which was spent in and around Herefordshire.

“Mum was such a character with a great wit which really comes out in this book,” said Ros, from Moors Meadow Gardens near Bromyard.

“She wrote it but told me I couldn’t do anything with it until she died. After that, I could do what I wanted, so I thought I would publish her memories in support of St Michael’s.”

Rosalind was cared for by the St Michael’s Hospice at Home team for a short while. Ros’s late husband, meanwhile, attended our Day Services around 15 years ago.

The book costs £8 with £4 from each purchase coming to St Michael’s.

It is on sale at Bromyard Tourist Information Centre, and the Food For All bookshop on Bromyard’s High Street.

Copies can also be obtained by calling Ros on 01885 410318 or emailing moorsmeadow@hotmail.co.uk
