Writing a Will is one of the most important parts of planning for the end of life. It shouldn’t be scary or something you always put off. It doesn’t matter if you’re 18 or 98, it’s an essential part of making sure that the people and causes you care about are looked after when you’re gone.
It's quick and simple
We’ve partnered with Make a Will Online to provide a free, safe, simple, and solicitor-checked way to make your will from the comfort of your home.
- Every will is reviewed by a fully qualified solicitor.
- You can ask legal questions if you need extra guidance.
- Your wishes are protected through free access to Capacity Vault.
This makes it easier than ever to leave a gift to St Michael’s Hospice Hereford, ensuring your support carries on for generations to come.

How it works
- Complete the simple form, answering a straightforward set of questions.
- Review all of your answers, and complete it when you are happy.
- A Solicitor with check over your Will and you will receive it via email or post.

And you can help us too
Once you’ve taken care of family, friends and loved ones, St Michael’s Hospice and the patients we care for each year would be extremely grateful if you would consider supporting us with a gift in your Will.
Thanks to generous people like you, a majority of the essential care we are able to provide is funded from gifts in Wills and we wouldn’t be able to care for as many patients without this support.

When to see a solicitor in person
Some people prefer – or need – to make their will face to face. You should consider this if:
- You already have a solicitor you trust.
- Your estate is large (above the inheritance tax threshold) or complex (e.g. trusts or overseas assets).
- You are taking certain medications or living with a dementia-related condition.
If this applies to you, you can find a solicitor via the Law Society website. Please ask your solicitor to use our full details:
Please make sure your solicitor uses our full details. Our name: St Michael’s Hospice (incorporating The Freda Pearce Foundation), our charity number: 511179 and our registered address: Bartestree, Hereford, Herefordshire HR1 4HA
When you make a will online, we will receive information such as your name, address, email, year of birth and the type and size of any gifts pledged. With your consent, this allows us to thank you and keep in touch.
We also understand that some supporters prefer to give completely confidentially. If that’s the case, you can use this link to make a will online without us being informed.
Whichever way you choose to support St Michael’s Hospice Hereford, please know how grateful we are for your generosity.
