Bob will put Lottery winnings towards Italian holiday
Bob Young had never really tasted success when it comes to raffles and draws, so he was delighted to be told he had won the jackpot prize in our St Michael’s Hospice Lottery.
“I was obviously very pleased, but a bit disbelieving to be honest,” said Bob after receiving a call from our Lottery team to tell him he’d won the £1,000 first prize.
“I’ve only ever had two lottery wins in my life. One was a bottle of British white wine after a rugby game in 1983, and the other was a hamper from the WI.
“I’ve always regarded myself as a bit of a loser when it comes to lotteries, so this was such a lovely surprise.”
Bob said he and wife had already put down a deposit on a holiday to Tuscany, so the money will go towards their trip. He also bought himself a new laptop.
“So many people have a connection to St Michael’s, and hospices in general, so it’s a pleasure to support them by playing the St Michael’s Hospice Lottery,” he added.
