Introducing STATEMENT by St Michael's Hospice
We can’t wait to welcome you to our boutique charity shop, opening 17th July.
Our Ledbury Charity Shop is temporarily closing while we make some exciting changes to transform the space into our first pre-loved boutique: STATEMENT by St Michael’s Hospice.
Here’s what you might need to know:
STATEMENT by St Michael’s Hospice is our newest brand, delivering pre-loved fashion in a boutique setting. Charity shoppers can browse a variety of mens and ladies designer and high-end clothing and accessories.
Located on the bustling Homend in picturesque Ledbury, this shop will specialise in high-quality pre-loved fashion pieces with a feel-good factor built in.
‘Feel-good’ because every purchase made, goes directly towards enabling Herefordshire’s only Hospice to provide expert end-of-life care, completely free-of-charge.
Every year, St Michael’s Hospice supports nearly 2,500 people facing the worst times of their lives and their families. It costs £21,000 per day to deliver our care in the Hospice and out in the community. Every purchase made in our shops, goes directly towards covering that cost. So to every shopper and every donor… Thank you!
It’s still the same lovely community shop Ledbury knows and loves. It’s still St Michael’s and it’s still there to help us raise funds to deliver our essential hospice care.
But it’s got a new look! A new name and a new shopping experience which we can’t wait to share with you.
This year, the profits from our charity shops are expected to contribute more to patient care than the government, so we are working hard to evolve our shop offerings to ensure that every single donation we receive can achieve the best price possible and find a new home.
We’re independent of the NHS and receive just 31% of our care funding from government and statutory sources. Over £10 million each year, must be raised through the incredible generosity of our community. It costs around £21,000 every day to keep our hospice care running. Every item you buy or donate to our shop makes a big difference.
The shop reopens with its new look and feel on Friday 17th July 2026 at 9.30am. From then onwards, the shop will be open:
Monday – Saturday, 9.30am – 5.00pm
We’d love to receive any quality donations of mens or women’s clothing and accessories when we reopen.
To make donating easier for you, you can now drop off your donations at the till inside the shop during opening hours. Our previous Donation Drop Off location on Bank Crescent will no longer be in use, so we ask that no donations are left outside as we would be unable to sell them due to potential weather damage or contamination.
Due to limited storage, we are unable to accept donations of furniture, electrical items, children’s toys or homeware at this location, but would love to accept them at our Whitestone Donation Centre instead.
Charity shoppers visiting STATEMENT can expect a variety of luxury womenswear and menswear, footwear, jewellery and accessories, plus some quality new goods, such as St Eval Candles.
