Hospice Lottery winner: I've given the winnings to my daughters to spend on something to remember their grandparents
Ann Clelland was ‘shocked’ to find out she had won our £1,000 jackpot
Ann Clelland, whose mum and dad died at St Michael’s, has given her entire Hospice Lottery jackpot to her daughters to spend on something to remember their grandparents.
Long-standing supporter Ann was called by our Lottery team to be told she had won the £1,000 weekly jackpot.
Ann’s mum died at St Michael’s in 2012. Her father also passed away here around ten years earlier.
“Both my parents, but particularly mum, were so well looked after by St Michael’s that I just wanted to give something back, which is why I donate each month through the St Michael’s Hospice Lottery,” said Ann.
“I was a bit shocked to be told I’d won the £1,000, but I’ve decided to give all my winnings – £500 each – to my two daughters who will use the money to do something to remember mum and dad.
“I’m also going to increase my monthly donation to St Michael’s too. It’s the least I can do to say ‘Thank You’ for the care my parents received.”
