An annual garden festival has continued its commitment to St Michael’s by donating thousands of pounds from this year’s event.

Hellens Garden Festival handed over £16,100 to us following June’s sold-out two-day spectacular at the beautiful Much Marcle venue.

The generous donation means Hellens has now donated almost £120,000 to St Michael’s over the course of the Festival’s near 20-year history.

“Each year, the support we receive from Hellens Garden Festival is astounding,” said Rachel Jones, the Hospice’s Income Generation, Marketing & Communications Director.

“As a charity firmly rooted in our community, it is so fitting that an event bringing joy to those in that community, along with many further afield, has become such a great friend.

“Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Festival; those who ran a stand; and those who run such an important and loved event.”

This year’s Festival carried the theme ‘Waste to Wonder’. Beneficiaries also included £4,600 to the Back to the Wild Community Interest Company, and £2,300 to The Recycling Shop CIC in Newent.

Next year’s Festival will take place on 7-8th June.
