Make the Summer of ’26 the start of your event volunteering journey

Could you spare some time to support one of our spring and summer events?

Our events are vital in helping us raise the funds needed to continue delivering expert end-of-life care, free of charge, to people in your community and we rely on the kindness of volunteers giving their time to help make them such a success. We’d love it if you could be one of those people!

Why give event volunteering a go?

• Try something new – step outside your usual role and experience another side of the hospice
• Be part of the buzz – our events are fun, fast-paced, and full of energy
• Flexible commitment – give a couple of hours or stay for the day
• See the impact – watch first-hand how your support helps bring the community together
• Full training provided – we’ll make sure you feel confident and supported in your role
  

Where you could help!

We’ve got some exciting events coming up, and we’d love your help to make them a success:

Sunday 10th May

RUN Hereford

Herefordshire’s biggest running event!  Starting at Castle Green and finishing at the Shell Store, this much-loved event takes in the city and surrounding areas.

🕗 Roles from 8am – 1pm
Help with marshalling, handing out medals, registration, and water stations.

 

Saturday 27th June

Sue Parry Sports Festival

A full day of sport, music and family fun at Hereford Leisure Centre Fields.

🕖 Roles from 7am into the evening
Support with registration, litter picking, car park marshalling and more, even a short shift makes a big difference.

Friday 10th July

Venus Midnight Walk

A female-only remembrance walk with a real party atmosphere!

🕘 Roles from 9pm – after midnight
Starting at Halo Leisure Hereford, get involved with marshalling, registration, welcoming walkers back, and serving drinks.
